Here’s a little tour of the essential oils I've started incorporating into my daily routine to boost my health and well-being.

Lavender: The Universal Soother

Lavender is a must-have in aromatherapy. It’s my go-to for relaxing after a stressful day. With a few drops in the diffuser or on the pillow, calmness instantly settles in. It’s also great for minor cuts, burns, and insect bites due to its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Another bonus: lavender is excellent for preventing lice in children at daycare or school. Just add a few drops to shampoo or spray a diluted solution on their hair.

Peppermint: An Energy Booster

I’m just beginning to explore peppermint, and its fresh scent is incredibly invigorating. It’s said to be great for giving a quick energy boost and improving concentration. I’ve tried it in a diffuser, and it really gives that extra kick. I’ve also read that it’s very effective for relieving headaches and soothing digestive issues like bloating and nausea. Finally, it’s recommended to consult a healthcare professional or aromatherapist before using essential oils, especially during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or if you have pre-existing medical conditions.
